The Careers Library contains information on over 200 Australian companies and law firms. This section of the library caters for students interested in researching employers, in particular, final year students who are preparing applications for graduate recruitment.

Information included provides more details on companies involved in graduate recruitment and relevant information on how to apply for graduate and vacation employment. There is a range of information provided by graduate and vacation recruiters as student handouts each year.

This section also contains a range of business directories for industries such as engineering, law, tourism, music and media.

We have regular subscriptions to Australian papers, The Age, The Australian and The Brisbane Courier Mail, and business sector journals; the Business Review Weekly (BRW) and the Australian Financial Review. Newspaper recruitment sections are linked to either www.mycareer.com.au or www.careerone.com.au web sites. Major weekend papers are available to research graduate positions available on a weekly basis .


Global and International Employer Profiles

Company profiles for employment overseas

GoinGlobal Access to Country Guides, Key Employer Directory and Daily Job Postings, a key online resource for international job seekers, offering over 10,000 resources for finding employment at home and abroad. Monash University Employment and Career Development maintains a subscription to Going Global, specifically to support the needs of international students seeking work back home and elsewhere internationally.

The international section of the library also contains publications on graduate employment, internships, aid and volunteering opportunties.

This section also includes publications on jobs, careers and study abroad such as Hobson's International , Graduan Malaysia, Peterson's Internships USA and a selection of international study information.


Government Departments

Links to Government employers

Contains information on government employers with Federal, Victorian and local government departments. Students wishing to enter the Australian and Victorian Public Service must check the relevant governmental departments for recruitment details. Recruitment campaigns are no longer centralised, therefore always check employment advertisements in the major newspapers and Monash University Employment and Career Development web site from March of every year. The library contains collected recruitment information and government directories, such as the Victorian Government Directory and the National Guide to Government.
