Careers Fairs and Expos

Monash University Employment and Career Development coordinates and hosts a suite of major annual campus recruitment careers fairs and expos. These events facilitate direct interaction between Monash students, graduates and employers from across Australia and around the world.

Collectively, these events can attract up to 200 organisations and around 10,000 students per year.

Employers recruiting for forthcoming graduate and vacation work programs, internships and professional positions are invited to take part to promote their opportunities and meet prospective Monash graduates face-to-face.

Current Events:

• International Jobseeker Expo (10 September, 2008) - Caulfield - A major event for international students, as well as Australian domestic students interested in working overseas. The event comprises an initial expo event day at which major international employers showcase a range of employment and career opportunities, usually followed by a two-day schedule of information sessions and recruitment interviews on campus.
  

Past events for students

In addition to the multi-discipline Graduate Careers Fairs, Monash University Employment and Career Development hosts other annual events for final year students, including the:

• Gippsland Careers Expo (held in August) - This annual event is held at the Gippsland campus, usually in second semester. Employers attend to showcase career and employment opportunities in the region and to interact directly with students. Last year 20 employers and several hundred students were in attendance.

• Summer Vacation Employment Fair (held in August) - This highly regarded event is for pre-final year students seeking degree related vacation, co-operative year, internship and voluntary opportunities and attracts thousands of students each year.

• Berwick Careers Expo (held in July) - Representatives from a diverse range of organisations will be attending to inform you of career opportunities in your study area. The Expo will increase your awareness of employment opportunities in your field of study, help you make wiser and more informed subject selections and build confidence in speaking with employers prior to an interview situation.
  
  

• Graduate Careers Fairs (held in March) - The annual Graduate Careers Fairs - our flagship campus recruitment events for final year students - are free, informal, expo-style events held annually at the Clayton campus. Key recruiters from around Australia take part to meet potential graduate candidates, outline forthcoming graduate programs and employment, provide career and industry information and more.
