Science Week Career Events - 18 to 22 August, 2008

Science Industry Night - Wednesday 20 August

Western Foyer, Building 25, Clayton Campus

Monash Employment and Career Development, the Faculty of Science and the Monash Science Society (MSS) are organising a Science Industry Night.

The aim of the Science Industry Night is to provide students with an opportunity to hear about a range of careers available to science graduates, including those science careers which do not require postgraduate studies.

Topics for the night will include the:

  • Developing careers in science for the next generation of graduates
  • Actual careers of Monash University Science graduates
  • Career journey/pathway of Science graduates

Evening Format

6:15pm – 7:00pm Keynote Speakers (S1, Building 25)
  • Prof. Robert Norris, Dean of Science, Monash University
  • Dr. Graham Phillips, Journalist & TV Presenter (Catalyst, Beyond Tomorrow, Quantum, Hot Chips)
7:05pm – 8:00pm Industry Panels (S1, S2 & S3, Building 25)
8.00pm – 8.30pm Networking Opportunity (Western Foyer, Building 25)
